On October 13, 2004, Korean War veteran Wesley "Wes" Shoemaker died. He was an active member of ACES, since Desert Storm. Wes was married to Thelma. He loved to go to the homecomings and give the flowers to the Hero that arrived. As Norma put it, he was a gentle giant. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Thelma and her family and Betsy who helped care for Wes.

Services for Wes were October 23, 2004 at the First Christian Church in Kennewick.

We love you Wes, you will be missed. God bless you. Thank you for your service to our Great Country during the Korean War. You are another reason that this country is "Land of the Free, Because of the Brave!"
